The Emmaus Series Overview and Application
Rigor ◆ Extended Support ◆ Applied Expertise ◆ Faithful Companionship
The Cohort
Cohort 2017 will consist of 30 Catholic school leaders from around the country who bring a wide variety of experiences, strengths, and needs. Cohort members will be selected based on the particular gifts they are willing to share, challenges for which they seek direction, and readiness for genuine collaboration among peers.
Fee
The fee to participate in the entire series is $1,500. The cost to the Barbara and Patrick Roche Center for Catholic Education is $3,200. Because of our strong commitment to Catholic school leadership, the Roche Center subsidizes $1,700 of your participation. Financial assistance with your fee, as well as support with accessing federal Title II funds or other local funding sources, is available.
Program Participation
The Emmaus Series, designed for 30 Catholic school principals and heads of school, journey together as companions, to make meaningful change in their schools. Because the school leaders themselves define the experience of the Emmaus Series, all participants are required to attend the 2 overnight retreats, and participate in 8 one-day workshops and 1-hr bi-monthly webinars over the 20 months.
Participants living outside New England are expected to attend the 2 overnight retreats and the final workshop with commencement event in person and may opt to participate in the workshops remotely via live stream.
